Why It's So Hard Finding Useful Information on the NetWhy It's So Hard Finding Useful Information on the Net Sell, sell, sell! With this motto and money signs in ones eyes, Aromatherapy has been blown into obscurity Internet wise. Clearly, the best sources for Aromatherapy information can be found here at this topic but I have noticed a dramatic change in the past few years concerning Aromatherapy. Sites created years ago are still the best when it comes to information distributed on the net. But why is this? With all the new avenues that have resulted from further research of essential oil use, you'd think more websites would be created. The sad truth is everyone wants to "get rich" quick off of what they perceive as a "fad" of Aromatherapy. Sites are created with a purely commercial core with glimmers of information thrown in for enticement... many times incorrect information at that. The thought process of providing net uses with pertinent information they can actually learn from doesn't seem to be all to prevalent anymore. This of courses is much to the delight of traditional modes of learning such as publishing houses of books and teachers in colleges. Being that people can't find what they want or need on the Internet allows book sales to continue to boom on the subject. While some commercial sites do a good job of teaching and selling, the majority do not and the scale is dipped heavily to the selling side. So, where can you find information still? Right in the form you are reading now... articles. One of the few outlets for continuing, valuable information has been posted magazine, newspaper, newsletter and journal articles dealing with essential oils and Aromatherapy. As more and more publication archive their articles online, they are allowing people to gain a better understanding into the art and receive more credible information. Larger websites that don't necessarily deal with so called "alternative or natural medicine" such as http://www.drkoop.com may also contain bits of information you my find helpful. Still, it can be hard finding specific, credible information on particular essential oils. For this, you may wish to look at herbal resources. Botanical and Aromatherapy healing constituents can many times be the same (but more potent in essential oils form) or used for the same illnesses. Many people don't make the correlation between the two. While Aromatherapy is very different from herbology, chamomile is chamomile, no matter if it's extracted in the form of an infusion (tea) or essential oil. -MAM For great, up-to-date articles, visit the "Articles" area of this Topic!
