If you're not familiar with it, the AFL playoff system is different than the NFL. Teams are seeded 1-12 according to standings and tie-breakers at the end of the season. The #1 through the #4 teams get a bye for the first round while the #5 through the #12 teams battle it out for the right to play them. The teams with a bye are: #1 Grand Rapids Rampage #2 Nashville Kats #3 San Jose Sabercats #4 Tampa Bay Storm Here are the results for the first round of games: #12 Detroit at #5 Arizona....Arizona wins 52-44 #11 Chicago at #6 Orlando....Chicago wins 41-26 #10 Carolina at #7 Indiana....Indiana wins 58-41 #9 New York at #8 Toronto....Toronto wins 64-57 Next week the Grand Rapids Rampage play host to the Chicago Rush, the Nashville Kats play host to the Toronto Phantoms, the San Jose Sabercats play host to the Indiana Firebirds, and the Tampa Bay Storm play host to the Arizona Rattlers.
