Week 7 Review
(Home teams in caps.) Game of the Week: Chicago 48, GRAND RAPIDS 45 Two divisional rivals square off. The records indicated this shouldn't be a close game, but the Rampage led going into the fourth quarter. Chicago missed QB Raymond Philyaw and may affect the Rush season if he's out an extended period. Scores: SAN JOSE 52, Philadelphia 26 Recaps: Philadelphia at San Jose The SaberCats seem on a roll to the playoffs. Philadelphia is still looking for answers-and a win for its new coach. Las Vegas at Columbus Loss to Austin was a wake-up call for the Gladiators. Columbus not even close in this game. Georgia at New York New York takes the conference lead after this important win over Georgia. The Force stays in a three-way tie for the Southern Division lead. Colorado at Nashville This game was not as close as the score indicated. Crush retains lead of the Central Division. Arizona at Tampa Bay Many would say the Rattlers should start looking ahead to next year. But will there be a "next year" for this franchise? If so, will it be in Phoenix? Orlando at New Orleans Two divisional rivals in a rugged division tangle in this encounter. VooDoo drops a game at home. Austin at Dallas Dallas finds little resistance against cross-state rival. Desperadoes wish they played two games a year against the Wranglers. Week 8 Preview Game of the Week: Las Vegas at Arizona Interesting match-up. Can the Rattlers turn their season around? Are the Gladiators legitimate? In the past this would have been a Rattler win. This year, who knows? Las Vegas is playing better, but is inconsistent. The Rattlers should be playing better. Can the Rattlers pull off another win? Or will the Gladiators mature as a team? Other Games: Dallas at Los Angeles Two leading teams meet in the city of angels. Each seeks to have the best conference record at the end of the year. Grand Rapids at San Jose This is an opportune time for the SaberCats, hosting a one win team as the prehistoric pussycats try to claw their way back into the playoff race. Orlando at Georgia Another crucial game in the Southern Division. Georgia has been surprising thus far. Can the Force remain? New York at Austin New York looks to stay in the lead in the Eastern Division. Austin still struggling. New Orleans at Chicago The VooDoo seeks to get back on the winning track. Chicago wants to stay in the playoff race.
