Week 6 Review
(Home teams in caps.) Game of the Week: New Orleans 53, DALLAS 51 Two premium teams tangle in battle. That's what competition is about. The VooDoo overcame the Desperadoes on the road. This was also a battle between two teams owned by NFL owners-Tom Benson of the VooDoo and Jerry Jones of the Desperadoes. 5 of the 8 games this weekend were won by the visiting team, not a usual trend in Arena Football. Scores: Austin 42, LAS VEGAS 41 Recaps: Austin at Las Vegas Austin takes one on the road from a co-leader of a division. San Jose at Orlando San Jose's SaberCats not done fighting and clawing. Win at the Jungle a good omen for the defending champions. New York at Philadelphia New coach for the Soul hasn't brought a win for Philadelphia. Dragons are breathing fire. Grand Rapids at Tampa Bay Tampa Bay gets a needed win. Unfortunately, it's only against the Rampage. Storm still on outside looking in for the playoffs. Columbus at Georgia Georgia surprising many in the league. Columbus hasn't been able to build on momentum of close game at Dallas and win over Chicago. Nashville at Chicago While the Force is surprising the league, the Force's former city (Nashville, where they played as the first Kats) wishes they had the old Kats back. Chicago stays in playoff fray. Los Angeles at Arizona Rattlers are snake-bit in the desert. Avengers showing to be class of the American Conference. Week 7 Preview Game of the Week: Philadelphia at San Jose Two teams desperately needing a victory for playoff hopes meet in California. Philadelphia was expected to be an ArenaBowl contender when they signed Graziani to be the quarterback. San Jose is the defending league champions. The Soul has fired its coach; the SaberCats are coming off a thrilling win in Orlando. Could this mean the season for one of these teams? Other Games: Las Vegas at Columbus Vegas seeks to stay in the race in the Western Division. Columbus looks to earn respect. The edge goes with the Gladiators. Georgia at New York These teams will be playing for a "leg up" in the conference race for best record (and hosting said game). Colorado at Nashville Two more teams with NFL ties (Bud Adams of the Kats; John Elway and Pat Bowlen of the Crush) meet up in this original meeting of these two teams. Colorado should win as Nashville continues its growing pains as an expansion team. Go To Page: 1 2
