2005 Arena Season Week 1 Preview
Chicago should Rush to victory against a Desperado team that slipped last year and missed the playoffs. Dallas will start new QB Clint Stoerner, making Chicago's task easier. Los Angeles at Las Vegas Two Western Division teams with playoff aspirations meet to try to draw first blood. Neither team will unseat the SaberCats, but one should make the playoffs. LA should have the edge, even on the road. Bye: New York New York won its division last year, but failed to make the playoffs based on the Arena league's format last year of taking the top eight teams. New York actually tied with Tampa Bay and Los Angeles for the seventh best record but the tie breakers left the Dragons out in the cold. They start this season sitting on the sideline as they seek to repeat as division champions and return to the playoffs. Cross Ownership in the Arena Football League
