Week 2 Review
(Home teams in caps.) Game of the Week: LOS ANGELES 46, Georgia 41 A close battle between two teams that might be surprising this year. This was the closest game of the weekend. LA rebounded from a week one loss t Vegas while Georgia sought to build on its Force-ful upset of the VooDoo. Both teams came out of the game at 1-1, but don't take either team lightly. Scores: LOS ANGELES 46, Georgia 41 Recaps: Orlando at Arizona Orlando went forth into the desert and beat the Rattlers, who played with a second-string QB. New Orleans at Nashville New Orleans rebounds with a convincing win over the Kats. Grand Rapids at Colorado Grand Rapids opens the season with two lopsided losses. Colorado rebounds from a tough loss at Orlando to get into the win column and head into a Mile High showdown with Chicago. Las Vegas at San Jose San Jose puts the Gladiators in their place in this Western Division showdown. Austin at Tampa Bay Tampa Bay has no trouble in going to 2-0 and setting up the first War on I-4 showdown in Orlando as a battle of unbeatens. Philadelphia at Chicago Philadelphia couldn't keep pace as the Rush led from the start. The day wouldn't improve as the NFL Eagles lost later in the day in some game played in Jacksonville. Dallas at New York Dallas comes back to earth with a loss at Long Island as the Dragons open their season. Week 3 Preview Game of the Week: Tampa Bay at Orlando The War on I-4 continues for the 39th time. The home team usually has the edge-barely. This game gives the winner a leg up in both the division and conference races. This time both teams are unbeaten. Other Games: Columbus at Dallas Dallas should rebound from loss at New York and win against Columbus. Los Angeles at Austin Austin should prove to be a gracious host to the Avengers. The Avengers could lead the Western Division at the end of the weekend. New York at Las Vegas At one time this was a Big Apple area rivalry. Then the Gladiators left New Jersey for the Vegas glitter. In a game featuring two cities that never sleep, Las Vegas will blink first as New York goes to 2-0. Arizona at Georgia This could be a competitive game. If Bonner were playing, I'd tilt the edge to the Rattlers. With Bonner hurt, Georgia has a chance to pull off a big win.
