Note: Clive Cussler is one of two people in the world I can think of who I would ever have considered writing a fan letter if I could have come up with a way to do it and not sound like a stalker. But I would think it would get old fast hearing how great you are a thousand times in a row, so it’s probably best I never bothered. Anyway, my thanks to Dr. Clive Cussler for the interview, his time and his patience, and to Carole Bartholomeaux for facilitating the interview and arranging the photographs that accompany this article.
