Arab-Americans and Muslim-Americans were likely included among the number of victims of the airline crashes and the World Trade Center, and they were also part of the search and rescue teams. It shouldn't be necessary to remind everyone that Arab-Americans and Americans of the Islamic faith are a law-abiding community who contribute greatly to American society. It shouldnt be necessary to be reminded that Arabs and Muslims have been a part of America for well over a century and a half.
Punishment should fall on the individuals who are responsible only. I am praying for all of the victims in NY, Washington DC and Pennsylvania, and their families. I am also praying for the victims of senseless anger and hate crimes across America.
