The Get Organized News (http://www.tgon.com ) has plenty of quick tips for organizing. Set up some boxes out of sight, label them "Give Away", "Sell", and "Trash" for quick sorting of things you don't know what to do with. You may even want a box for your old magazines and newspapers (which you can donate to schools and libraries). Have some items that need repairs that you no longer want or need? Then sell them through the local newspaper. Want to quickly sell some older furniture? Post advertisements at local colleges. Are you finding yourself swamped with tons of junk mail, advertisements, and credit card applications? Check out the Junk Mail FAQ ( http://www.faqs.org/faqs/privacy/junk-ma... ) to learn how to reduce the amount of junk coming to your mailbox. When the companies start calling you, tell the marketer to remove your name from their calling and mailing lists. Write a note to the following address and ask to be removed from all direct mailing/marketing lists: You can store your out-of-season clothes in a seldom-used closet (like a hall closet) or in a box under your bed. Hang some shelves in your laundry area to keep irons, old blankets, out-of-season sweaters, and empty hangers. Invest in a shelving unit that stands above the toilet to hold towels and other décor. Hang storage hangers on the backs of doors, especially closet doors. Make a filing system just for your magazine clippings for quick and easy access. Organize your billing center by creating a box with 31 index tabs for each day of the month. This makes it easy to mail the bill due for that day.
