Buyer Beware!If you do buy something you suspect isn't "clean," have it authenticated or at least examined by a reputable local dealer whose expertise is unquestioned. But remember, even museums get conned. Many of the best known museums have had to admit they were victims of clever crooks. And report to the authorities any item stolen from you, and any item you've purchased that is a fraud or may have been stolen.
