A disturbing and promising horror series, Mermaid Forest volume 1 ranks 8/10 kendo swords.

Rating: This series is rated 16 and up for horror violence. I never found the horror violence itself in any way too graphic but certainly worth the higher rating listed. What disturbed me more was the awful, terrifying lengths people and creatures would go to fulfill their own selfish desires for eternal youth and immortality, no matter the cost.

Release Information: Mermaid Forest is a four volume series. Volume 1 Quest for Death contains the first three episodes. It is available as of July 5th in either the single disc release or the disc with a limited edition collector's box.
