Melody of Oblivion Volume 1 Anime DVD Review

I have to admit each episode surprised me; they were never quite what I expected. The story has a strange, haunting quality that is enhanced by the music and the method of storytelling. There's a surrealistic quality to it at times that reminded me of Revolutionary Girl Utena except for the gender change for the main character. I am intrigued to see where the Melody will progress from here.
Melody of Oblivion Volume 1 rates a solid 7.5/10 kendo swords; this is one to watch for as it keeps you guessing.
