Search for family brings Tigger home

"The Tigger Movie" is a fun frolic into the Hundred Acre Wood with Tigger and the entire cast of Winnie the Pooh fame. If you are already a fan of the bouncy tiger, the yellow bear, and the disenchanted donkey, then this search for a missing family tree will enchant and entertain.

As a sequel, this movie is working off the fan base set up by Pooh and Christopher Robin; and since most of us, at one time or another, became familiar with this playroom bunch, the movie lands in its niche with no problem. It manages to keep toddlers and preschoolers happy from beginning to end, and it keeps parents interested throughout.

"The Tigger Movie" tells the tale of that lonely, but lovable, creature and his search for his family tree. With his friends sometimes tagging along, Tigger bounces from one beautifully drawn scene to another. The music provides a fun backdrop as well, including one of six new songs on this soundtrack, "Whoop de dooper, loop de looper, ally ooper bounce".

Fans will not be disappointed. The characters remain true to form and nothing that happens feels out of place. The personalities, including those of Tigger and Roo, jump out at the viewer with their fullness, and our clumsy buddy Pooh remains a great friend.

In the end, Tigger's search for a family of Tiggers so he will no longer be "the only one" brings him full circle and back home. He realizes his family has always been there for him, even though they are not striped tigers.
