Beastie Boy is Ready
The week before, Beastie Boy had been fine. But, this week, he was "ready."
We buried him in the backyard in the garden and I promised to plant some beautiful flowers over him. White ones, I said, as a memorial. We held a proper burial so the kids could say goodbye.
That night I dreamed that Beastie Boy entered heaven as a healthy, beautiful cat. He was met by Billy,Koki, Addison, and Mochachip, all former members of the "family." Billy and Addison grinned while Mochachip exclaimed (this was heaven, after all), "What took you so long?" Koki then stepped forward and remarked, "I've been waiting a long time to meet you!"
Then all five of them, healthy and proud, turned away and disappeared.
