Here the poet describes the charecteristics of a renunciate. Verse (3)
Erumai vagai Therindhu Yeendu Aram Poondar
Perumai Pirangitru ulaghu.
Explanation:
The fame of the ascetics who have explored the dual nature of things in this life, transcends the earth.
The renunciates have explored the nature of self and also tred the path of Dharma. Their glory still pervades on the earth even after their mortal body perishes.
Verse (4)
Uran Yennum Thottiyan oor Iyndum Kappan,
Varan yeenum Vaippirku oor Vitthu.
Explanation:
The renunciate who controls his five senses is like the seed in the plains of heaven.
It takes utmost penance and practice to control the five senses. Only after a sustained effort will a man become a true renunciate. Such man is like a seed in the world of heaven.
A renunciate treds the path of Dharma, has realized the Self and
had a firm control over his five senses.
