Epimetheus carried her to bed and ordered a servant to watch over her while he rushed out for a physician. Pandora said the last words she would ever say. "The last creature in that box...it was hope so that mankind wouldn't wither away from all the tragedy and unhappiness that will unfurl. Hope will keep mankind going." Then she lapsed into silence.

Epimetheus never heard her speak again. Sensing the box was the source of all Pandora's woes, he made a trip to the sea where he threw it into its deepest depths.

Now you know never to open Pandora's box if you find it.
