better or for worse, is united by its diversity. No one can agree what the Amiga was, let alone is now. Is it down to the hardware, the software, the user interface, the A1000's keyboard garage? It's a strength and a weakness, with different factions all proclaiming their interpretation to be the One True Way, without sitting back and realising they are all right and yet all so wrong.

The Amiga is coming back, though for approximately 30,000 of us (and maybe more) it never really went away. Even while a vocal minority proclaim that the AmigaOne is mere vapourware, actual systems have shipped to a lucky few. It was no real surprise to see that the take up was sluggish to begin with - re-read the first paragraph of this article if you still aren't sure. But the fact is, things are tantalising close and this promotion helps give an extra nudge in the right direction.

If you're looking at buying the AmigaOne, have you given your nudge yet?
