We're In This Together Now (Part II)we merge each and every project into one huge mess, what I am saying is celebrate the differences while promoting cooperation. Anyone can help with this - start contacting your favourite Amiga developers and retailers, pull in the support of your local user group, if you're running an Amiga-inspired project maybe it's time you got in contact with another such project and began to bridge the gaps? KOSH isn't working on AmigaOS compatibility, but AROS is. AROS needs developers to assist with additional hardware and software support. Maybe an exchange of support is in order here - a sharing of technology for mutual benefit? AROS supplies the Amiga compatibility layer to KOSH in return for work on, say, bringing the standalone x86 version of AROS to fruition. Phoenix has a significant number of hardware developers - maybe they'd like to see their hardware support KOSH or AROS as well as the Phoenix/QNX solution? Platforms need software to survive, so rather than a handful of developers writing for KOSH, a handful of different developers writing for Phoenix, a handful for AROS or AmigaOS leading to dribs and drabs for each, why not promote some form of cross-platform API compatibility or cooperation with moving between platforms? Paul Nolan had the right idea making Photogenics highly portable through his Ng toolkit. Perhaps it's time we finally put aside the petty squabbles and differences for the time being and concentrated on the one thing we have in common: the future of the Amiga.
