In the Music News section, you'll find their "Corral of Country Hits" and album charts. Its not clear if the Corral represents their playlist or is representative of a national chart. There's also a page containing newsbriefs on country music and the artists. For Oklahoma residents, the Events section contains a concert schedule for the area as well as a schedule for the KVOO promotional crew. You'll find information on their programming schedule in the Other Stuff section. This is an interesting site and worth a visit, even if you're not an Okie. Y107 New York & New JerseyY107 is a simulcast on three radio stations (currently WWVY, WWXY and WWZY) on the same frequency (107.1 FM). It came on the air in December 1996, less than a year after New York City's previous country radio station, WYNY, sadly went off the air. The station plays a predominent mix of recurrents (recent songs by currently charted or popular artists) as opposed to a top-20 or top-40 format. While their Web site is already extensive, they plan on live audio Internet broadcasts in the near future. They currently feature both a chat room and a message board section where people can post messages on selected topics. There's a section with their DJ schedule, including pictures and trivia information. There is also a schedule for their "roadshow" promotional crew. Also on the sight is a local concert schedule; just remember that this is New Jersey with fall here and winter approaching it will be slim pickings for Country music fans until next year. There's also an on-line request form to submit for the station's noontime Country Cafe show. Finally, there's a page for their American Country Countdown show on Sunday mornings and a listing of the top ten songs from the latest show. This is another interesting site for Country Music listeners. If you're from the New York/New Jersey area, or even if you're not, stop by for a visit. Topical Index SiteNashville Music Link is a collection of mostly Country music links that is focused on the music business in Nashville. The links are organized in a set of topics that range from Artists to Management in a sort of yellow page fashion. Some of the other topics include labels, songwriters, services, studios, organizations, stress relief, press, charts, publishers, performing rights, music venues, booking agents and public relations. You'll also find a list of Country radio stations, but if I can be immodest for the second month in a row, you'll find a more complete list on the Radio Finder section of my web site, Country Music Viewpoint. Nontheless, the links found in each topic are extensive but not exhaustive. In the Organizations section, I found it curious that the Academy of Country Music (see below) was missing. I first thought it was because it was not Nashville-based, but then I found a link for the Grammys.
