Lisa Brokop, Chely Wright and Music Videos

This month, we'll look at another artist site, that of Canadian artist Lisa Brokop. We'll also sneak back into the internet audio topic for a second as we look at the recent full-single download opportunity from Chely Wright on her upcoming new single. And we'll take a quick look at a music video on demand site.

Lisa Brokop

The Lisa Brokop web site is divided into two section at the moment. The first section is her "Home Page." This is where most of the fan related material is located and there are links between the two main sections. The "Brokop File" contains current news, as well as anarchive of past news articles, about this Canadian country singer. This subsection also includes the usual biography material; if your not familiar with this 1999 Juno nominee for Country Female Vocalist, here is the place to read about her background.

The "Lisa Live" subsection is supposed to contain tour information, but she is currently not on tour. The "Juke Box" subsection is a misnomer. It currently contains the lyrics from her upcoming album, When You Get To Be You, due out in the US in mid-year 1999. It looks like the lyrics from past albums may be added in the future. Disappointingly, there are no audio clips available in this subsection; whether that will change as more information is added to the site is yet to be seen. The "Merchandise" subsection is under development. The "Fan Club" subsection has a list of benefits and a form you can print and by snail-mail to actually join. Lastly, on the main page of this section is an opportunity to get on her e-mailling list, "Wired," to receive information about this artist.

The other section of this site is dedicated to her first single, "Ain't Enough Roses," off of the upcoming album. You can hear a RealAudio clip of this hot, bluesy tune that is burning up the radio airwaves. And if you've got an "Ain't Enough Roses" story to share, you have a chance to win a guitar. There are also links to buy the CD single from either Music Boulevard, CDNow or Amazon.Com.

This site is worth a visit just to hear the sound clip of "Ain't Enough Roses." I would also bookmark the site and come back to see what new information becomes available.
