I would like to update all of my readers on some of the latest Alzheimer's news and also direct you to some online support Message/Discussion Boards which can be a wonderful support system.
News: I recently saw a commercial on television for a product that contains Huperzine A, the Chinese product that is stirring up some controversy. I have been unable to find much about this product but I would be careful to read labels and ask qualified medical and pharmaceutical professionals before taking or giving any OTC (over the counter) products that claim they can help memory or relieve symptoms of any illness. Here is a link to a small amount of information on Huperzine A: http://www.suite101.com/article.cfm/alzh... Some message/discussion boards are more active than others and you may have to look at a few before you find one that suits you but do give them a try. I find them to be very helpful in getting support for my illnesses and much more uplifting and helpful than my local in person group which I found to be very depressing. So give it a try, I will list a few I have found for you. Message boards can be a wonderful way to gain knowledge, get support, find a friend, ask for help or just unwind and relax. You can be anonymous or you can tell as much as you like. You can do it at your own pace whenever you want and you don't even have to get dressed!!! For a harried caregiver, a message board or online discussion group can be a valuable resource. I heartily recommend them. Go To Page: 1 2
