My Year to Remember and Since: Alzheimer's and After, Part III
But I'll make a long story short just now by saying that in 1998 I completed my Master's degree, in 1999 I accepted my present position where I'm a library Webmaster as well as a librarian (using the skills I learned doing my Mother's Web site), and in 2001 I published "Waiting for the Morning"-- my poetry, my journal, and photos of my mother and family-- through iUniverse. And next month my second book, a bibliography and filmography of Alzheimer's, will be available in December 2002. My mother's Alzheimer's changed my life in many ways. I'm a different person now, but through all of it, I have grown and learned. I have learned so much about Alzheimer's that I wish I could have know and put into practice while I was with my mother. But I can tell others-- this is my mission-- this is my purpose-- this is my mother's gift to me.
