If a cure is not found, fourteen million Americans will have Alzheimer's disease by the middle of this century. This is not a bright forcast for those of us who are children of parents with Alzheimer's. But there is hope-- for better medications, earlier diagnosis, and yes, there is always the hope that a cure will be found.

Until a cure is found, the Alzheimer's Association is around to help. In local chapters, and in local support groups all across the country, the Alzheimer's Association provides someone to stand by family caregivers through this most difficult time of their lives. For those caregivers, for a cure, and in memory of my mother, I'll be walking in the Memory Walk this fall with thousands of others all across the country. Come walk with me.
