Hello Nasty...

I'm sure most of us think of the Beastie Boys as the champions of partying. And I'd go so far as to say many of us , children of the '80s have fond memories of teen dances and fighting for our right to party. So it might surprise you of the key role they played in bring hip-hop to the masses.

Through the years the Beastie Boys have shown there's more to them then their party boy image. Just look at how Adam Yauch has helped to bring the plight of the Tibetans to forefront of the American conscious through the Tibetan Freedom Festivals. And continues to fight for their cause.

It's nice to know that even after all these years of growing both spiritually and musically, the Beastie Boys can still have fun. The album title Hello Nasty spurs thoughts of a youthful time gone but more clearly remind us that the Beastie Boys are still partying all these years later. Early reviews of the album applaud the Beastie Boys for their return to their roots, and I'll applaud them for still having a good time.
