Rocks Your Lame Ass!

Unlike Rolling Stone I don't think that the last episode of Seinfeld has that much to do with the music industry so there'll be no article dedicated to Jerry and the Gang. Wasn't that a band from the late '60s?

Anyhow, what I would like to do is introduce you all to yet another great band and my band of the month: Hagfish.

The funny thing is I hadn't listened to them in - oh - probably a year and just recently ran across their new album at Musicland, of all places! Hey, I've had a lot of free time lately. Besides, once I find what I'm looking for at Musicland I can head straight over to my local CD store and pick up the same CD for a few dollars less. Anyhow, Hagfish's major label debut Rocks Your Lame Ass is a masterful work of pop-punk that I recommend to anyone looking for some high energy music. And clearly it has one of the greatest album titles of all time. Off that album my two favorite tracks are "Happiness" and "Stamp" - though be warned; the topics are well interesting.

I've listened to their new self-titled CD a few times now and from what I've heard it's more of the same. My early favorite tracks are "Band," "Bop," and "Closer." So if you're looking for some pop-punk to listen to, and Blink-182 hasn't yet grabbed you, grab a Hagfish CD and rock your lame ass!
