Van Halen or the WWF?

"One, Two, Three!" Sammy Hagar pins down another hard rock band, and retains the hold on to the Tag Team World Championship belt. Sammy is relaxed, enjoying yet another stunning victory, when out of the blue, Ray Danniels hands Eddie a guitar - and Eddie smashes the guitar on Sammy. Sammy turns to see the enemy before him, but instead sees only the remaining members of Van Halen. Sammy is stunned. In this moment of shock David Lee Roth comes flying off the top ropes and lands an elbow on Sammy. Sammys down - but only temporarily. Van Roth saunters off the ring for an interview with Macho Man leaving Sammy to his fate. Sammy stands. He is on his own again, ready for the new challenge.
Well, this isn't exactly how it went down, but this entire Van Hagar, Van Roth 'thing' is so reminiscent of a WWF story line, the comparison had to be made. Dave Lee Roth's appearance on the MTV video awards fueled the early leaks of trouble within the Van Halen camp. Then came the little video clips on MTV. And then, all the hype created about his "return." Well, time will tell how this turns out. I for one will be picking up the new...Sammy Hagar solo album.
