Road Trip Tunes

For those of us traveling during the holidays, I'm sure we've all had the fun experience of spinning the dial searching for something good to listen to. I mean how many times must one hear jingle bells? Even worse is being stuck in the middle of Montana with nothing but "Whiskey Shooters and my Hound Dog" or "Shotgun Shells for Christmas" to be heard. Well here are a couple albums that I find very helpful while on the road.

1. Eric Johnson's Ah Via Musician
This album features many upbeat and creative tracks sure to keep you rolling right along. This album has helped me through many a Iowa winter while en route to Chicago.

2. Rush Chronicles
The best at their best. From top to bottom non stop hits. Nothing like a couple timeless rock tracks such as "Working Man," "Tom Sawyer," and "Red Barchetta" to keep you on time for that in-law Christmas dinner.

Hopefully these albums will get you started down the road, and in time you won't ever have to play spin the dial. In case you haven't picked these up be prepared to hear John Cougar's "Small Town" at least once during you trip, not that, that's an entirely too bad thing, but be ready. So have a Merry Christmas and consider these albums for stocking stuffers, everyone needs some good music.
