Predictions for 1998

1998, is upon us and here's what I think we're in store for in music.

  1. The Artist will return to calling himself Prince causing a mass surplus of weird symbol things.
  2. Skatronica (the combining of Ska and Electronica) will sweep the US behind the powerful single "Fusion" by the super group The Mighty Mighty Prodigy.
  3. Liam and Noah Galagher of Oasis will drive tanks into Washington D.C. leading yet another British Invasion.
  4. A new groundbreaking television station will exclusively play Music Videos changing pop culture for the next decade and beyond.
  5. Beavis and Butthead will enter into a cage match with the South Park gang.
  6. Cartman's track "Kyle's mom is a stupid bitch" will chart in the Top 10 across the US causing Tipper Gore to once again pickup the cause to enforce music labeling.
  7. Pearl Jam's new album "Yield" will smash the sales of "Ten" and "Vs" combined.
