Put the Spoon Down© David Reid
"Millions of Peaches," "She's Lump," "She don't use Jelly," these all sound like lyrics I wrote at the age of five. Apparently I was wrong. I was so wrong that, in fact, it's a band that is really talented and skillful. Well no. The truth is a band in today's music industry can have zero talent but with enough record company push and some MTV plugs, they can easily sell a million albums.
Our society is been fooled. Or is it human nature to believe that if we hear and see certain bands enough we just come to accept them as good. Hundreds of good bands fight the good fight, and stick it out in your local music scene but don't get in touch with the right people or aren't part of an "alternative" scene so they never go anywhere. I'd hope we can all open our ears to something truly alternative and not just accept what is being spoon-fed to us by Sony, Time Warner and MTV. Go To Page: 1
