Shots rang out early Monday morning at the east side home of Chris Cornell.
He was quoted as saying, "I'm sure it was Vedder." Police are currently
following up leads. Speculations abound that this is yet another shooting in the long running East/West Grunge wars that started with the slaying of Kurt Cobain. Vedder was recently quoted as saying, "Cornell hasn't learned what anger and angst is all about and I'm going to teach him a thing or two."
I hope it's clear this is a satire and is made simply to express a point. In recent times we've seen the slayings of Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls. It is widely speculated that these deaths were related to a long-running East/West coast Hip Hop war. You might think the fact that both artists foreshadowed their deaths in their music to be strange, but in truth they both knew what was going on and could see that one day if they didn't change their lifestyle and the industry they would be a statistic. For those of us who don't consider themselves part of the hip-hop generation this feud is impossible to grasp and wish it could just end. I'm sure people within the hip-hop generation understand it more clearly then I but either way I'm sure we can all agree it's time to stop the senseless violence. Go To Page: 1
