Manson on Tour... here we go again

Marilyn Manson is back on the road again touring throughout the US and protest groups are already lining up to stop him. And as much as I think that Marilyn Manson is nothing special and is just playing on people's primal instincts of fear, I mean basically he's just a shock rock artist. I find it just that much more funny how "shocked" some Christian groups are over his antics. These very groups have admitted to lying in their pamphlets regarding his shows in the past and claim how unmoral he is? Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't there something like "thou shall not lie?" or something to that affect? I guess it's ok to lie as long is it's used to support the religion right?

Well we know that's not true and because of this and the fact that I believe people, yes even Marilyn Manson, has the right to express themselves. So I'd defend his right to perform and question those who protest him. Now it is true that you may not want your child going to his shows and I'd say it's even reasonable to point them towards better more talent musicians. (though Manson is very good at what they do i.e. shock rock) So if you'd like to point them at some interesting all be it quite different acts consider Cake, the Gufs, or maybe Dubstar.
