All these "Alternative" stations are popping up playing very mainstream material. Too bad there isn't an alternative to these stations. Or is there? Have you ever tried spinning your dial all the way down to the very bottom around 88 or 90. Often you'll hear a lot of static, but if you're lucky you'll here some great new music. What are these stations? This is where College Radio resides and this is where new music hits first. Did you see Cake on 120 minutes this past weekend? Wel,l college radio has been onto Cake for quite sometime now. This is the norm. In college radio they are always playing unheard of acts long before commercial radio and MTV pick them up.
