Elizabeth Anne Kerr

© Gary Buckley

Dear all,

it is my sad task to inform you of the death yesterday of Elizabeth Anne Kerr. Liz had an aggressive form of bowel caner with secondaries in her liver and lungs.

It was her wishes that only we who nursed her know of her predicament until she passed.

The last few weeks were very tough for her. Finally the doctors got their act together and managed to give her a level of sedation/pain relief which gave her in her last hours a level of comfort where Liz was able to sleep pain free and not be panicked by her inability to breath. At 4.15 am yesterday Liz passed from a deep sleep into the arms of the unknown.

For those of us living within driving distance of Melbourne; her funeral is at 11.am. on Friday August 11th at Le Pine Funeral Services Chapel, Carlisle Street. St. Kilda. (Melways map Reference Map 58 C11.) followed by a private cremation.

Liz Kerr, 9.2.1944 - 8.8.2000 Highly adored, deeply missed.

I think of Liz every day when I walk in my garden and see the plants that resulted from seeds that she sent to me. Gardens really are a wonderful "walk down memory lane" when they abound with shared ...
