Otto Fauser, the respected and well-known bulb and alpine grower often featured on Gardening Australia (by the way at our annual auction Otto's rarer bulbs which are not offered for sale in Australasia are regularly available). Stephen Ryan, the collection holder for Cornus, owner of Dicksonia Rare Plants. Jane Edmanson, the TV personality from Gardening Australia. Anyone interested in becoming a collection holder can contact the OPCAA and they will be sent a manual which outlines in clear detail the responsibilities and requirements for registering and maintaining your registered collection, complete with support phone and fax numbers to myself. OPCAA holds monthly committee meetings, publishes a quarterly newsletter, which reflects the interests of its members. We are always looking for plant articles for Genus (our newsletter). We have a varied programme of talks and lectures, tours, visits to collections, an annual rare plant auction (which is in itself a most entertaining event and is run by Stephen Ryan). The OPCAA office is in the Observatory Building in the grounds of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Birdwood Avenue, South Yarra. The contact person is Kathrin Woolf and the phone/fax number is 03 9650 5639. The office is usually staffed on a Tuesday or Wednesday. Urgent messages can be left by phone or fax. For those connected to the web Gary Buckley is our contact person, mailto:garyrene@ozemail.com.au thank you - Kathrin.
