Tasmania Seduces all.


Tasmazia is the World's largest maze being developed at the entrance to Lake Barrington International Rowing Course. Bridstowe Estate Lavender Farm located 45 kms from Launceston via Lilydale. When in flower the lavender fields offer a spectacular scene set in a superb bushland setting with a backdrop of distant mountains. Open from November to April 7 days a week; May, September and October, Monday to Friday. The Bridstowe Estate Lavender Farm offers guided tours of the processing plant during December and January, a souvenir shop with a large range of lavender products, a kiosk open December and January offering hot and cold refreshments, barbecue and picnic facilities. Villarett Gardens located at Moltema, off the Bass Highway between Sasssafras and Elizabeth Town. The gardens and tea house are surrounded by beautiful views of the Tasmanian countryside. The gardens include rose gardens, herbaceous borders, lake and fountain, rockeries, herb garden, folly, native and exotic shrubs and trees. Open daily, except Fridays. Ph 03 6368 1214

The Tasmanian Arboretum Should be one of your first ports of call if you have boated in. It is located 10km south of Devonport, on the Eugenana to Melrose road. The botanical tree park of 47 hectares has a fine collection of Tasmanian natives together with a unique collection of exotic trees from countries around the world. The park's central feature is a beautiful ornamental lake with a central island bird sanctuary. In addition to its scientific significance the park caters for the general public with spacious picnic areas, barbecues and public toilets. Ph 03 6427 2690
