F. M. Alexander, the originator of the Alexander Technique, made extensive use of mirrors in his search for more accurate information about himself. You can read a clearly-written account of the processes he used in his third book, The Use of the Self. Jeremy Chance, an Australian teacher of the Alexander Technique has some useful suggestions for using a mirror in his book, Throson's Principles of the Alexander Technique.
