The Perfect Home- Anchorage, Alaska

Recreation is our favorite topic in Alaska. You name it and we have it in Anchorage. Our playground is the Chugach Mountains and the city itself. Anchorage is well known for its extensive trail system within city limits. You don’t have far to travel to enjoy hiking, biking, skiing or dog sledding. Most likely, there is a trail just outside your doorstep or a short walk or ride away. World-class salmon fishing is right downtown on Ship Creek. Whitewater rafting and kayaking are done on the endless glacial fed rivers throughout the area. Want to pan for gold? Got that… How about checking out a glacier? 50 miles from downtown, you can take a boat ride to get up close and personal with the famous Portage Glacier. Watch out for those deep blue icebergs on the way though. Want to see a moose? They can be seen in our yards and even in town munching on trees and shrubs. Bears (grizzly and black) roam into town on occasion too. Bald Eagles soar our skies. Beluga Whales call our summer waters home. I could go on forever… The possibilities are endless.
