Will Delta and Northwest Airlines Merge? US Airways/America West Merger

US Airways and America West Airways plan on finalizing their merger this month (September 2005). Again, this is another opportunity to help out the harried and busy airline executives in coming up with an identity. I have designed a concept using the current US Airways flag, adding a star in the blue field, and the western sun rising above the star. Yes, this is a busy design. But it's a start. Perhaps the smile from US Airway's Pacific Southwest Airlines (PSA) can be added as well?

Another possibility would be a fresh start for the US Airways/America West marriage. How about the American flag (placed on all US aircraft anyway) with a top side profile of a jet? The "U S" can trail behind the wings.

Anyway, sometimes it's nice to dream and let one's creativity (or lack thereof) take over.
