Olympic Airlines: Higher, Faster, Stronger?
The Greek government has restructured the Olympic Airways Group of Companies (again), renaming the parent company Olympic Airlines. The Greek government will make a fresh attempt to privatize Olympic Airlines in September after the end of the Olympic Games held in Athens.
As for why the airline is allowed to use the rings? I have been unable to find information on that aspect. But you will notice that the colors are different from the official Olympic Games rings and the airline has added a sixth ring.
