63. Back To The Futurearticles here on Suite 101. Also, I remind all my high school peers, and whoever else may be reading this article, there is still a future in front of each of us, no matter one's age. There are only two good reasons to revisit the past, outside of reunions; one is to recapture one's belief in ideals, and the other is to measure the distance one has traveled with pride. The future means that each waking day is a new beginning; an attitude adjustment will help make it so. I mentioned that one's true character doesn't change over time, the syntax, that particular sound of laughter that is peculiar to one individual, that special bond of sharing a common space and time, whether you ever spoke together or not, fills one with a certain knowingness that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. One is reminded that she/he is never alone in her thoughts or feelings... there is an entire generation of peers who can personally relate to anything under the sun. Don't give it a second thought; GO to that reunion, you won't regret a moment of it!
