11. Dating at 55.... Part II


"proper" place are most prevalent and probably why so many "older" men are finding themselves alone, single and struggling to find companionship. They haven't quite learned yet, that to reveal their vulnerabilities does not make them less masculine.

Let's take the older man who is well balanced, comfortable with himself, and who is not desperate... yes, ladies... they ARE out there. This man may have devoted too much time and energy to his career, possibly outgrew his mate, and has decided that the quality of life is not be be compromised by settling. He has a self-confidence about himself that is positively magnetic. He is not afraid to reveal his longings, his fears, or to express himself openly. He has learned well... that by showing his true respect and adoration for a woman, he can expect only the same in return. They desire true meaningful relationships and dislike wasting time.

He makes no apologies about hanging onto the concept of what it takes to be a gentleman. Opening doors, walking on the curbside of the street, angling his body to guard a woman while holding onto her elbow and guiding her through a crowd, pulling out her chair, helping with her wrap, etc. ... all come naturally and effortlessly to him. Any woman is foolish to not appreciate or expect such behavior. Feminists miss the point of what it takes to be a true feminist... to revel in their womanhood.

Older men have put in their time with career/family, and find themselves seeking true companionship. Their lives no longer need to be tended by a housekeeper/cook and there is more a willingness to share in the mundane. To be precise, they have the time AND the motivation.

Older men have finally caught the fragrance of roses and feel no need to rush about as if there are so many women to meet in so little time. They have come to know themselves well enough to recognize quality and to relish the moments. Relishing the moments is indicated by an older man's level of sensuality. He looks at a woman with adoring appreciation and a playfulness to his lust as opposed to being too blatantly obvious and impatient. He selects wisely, rather than randomly, and he pursues with single minded interest rather than using a hit or miss strategy. They have the know-how.
