In my last article, I reiterated some very general information that everyone knows, but perhaps doesn't practice with any great commitment. I guess it is human nature to not want "to fix something until it's broke." The irony of course, is that all the signs of any breakdown are ignored far too long and total breakage is often imminent. After all, it does take years for the biology of the human body to break down naturally, which is something to seriously ponder. The fact that we ignore all the simple things the body needs to operate at maximum efficiency pretty much makes it obvious that each person gets what she/he deserves, in terms of good or poor health.
Examples of "breakdown" signs are any minor aches or pains, muscular, mental as in headaches, irregular body functions as in bowel movements, menstrual cycles, digestion, physical appearance as in pallor, skin irregularities as in acne, rash, itchiness, dryness, body alignment, etc. Most people accustom themselves to these minor discomforts to the point that they become accepted as "normal," because in most cases the body adapts itself and compensates for any deficiencies or imbalance... that is until one reaches a point where the body is no longer able to compensate for anything with a "zero bank balance." No, I do not have any medical training. Am I really saying anything illogical and or something that any layperson doesn't know? I am only restating the obvious as a reminder. Let's talk about motivation. Anyone afflicted with halitosis, dandruff, allergies of any kind, insomnia, should be sufficiently motivated. It is unfortunate that most of these symptoms are "easy fixes" with the proper nutritional supplements, but most seem to think that the easiest "fix" is with pharmaceutical prescriptions. I cannot repeat enough, prescriptions alleviate discomforts, they do NOT cure. Think about the difference in costs, perhaps that is more convincing; isn't a cure less expensive than longtime or lifetime use of any prescriptions? I'm not even mentioning the more serious ailments such as high blood pressure, diabetes, osteoporosis, Crohn's disease, fibromyalgia, etc. By the time any ailment becomes severe, it is accompanied with fear and honoring most medical professionals as gods and the only ones who can save anyone. One way for a simple, first step at self-diagnosis is to measure one's ph system, the acid/alkaline level in the body. All health food stores, perhaps even some drug stores, have little kits with paper strips one can purchase, with instructions and directions. An overly acidic system is a perfect breeding ground for viruses and bacteria of any and all kinds. A prolonged super acidic system leads to breakdown of one's immunity. An ideal balance of one's acid/alkaline level, (bright yellow at 5.5 to dark green at 8.0), should measure between 6.8 and 7.2. A chart accompanies the kit, listing alkaline-forming foods, which helps one to keep one's acid/alkaline balance in check. Talk about easy!
