If we listened to everyone's opinions and based our decisions on what others thought, none of us would have very fruitful lives. The world is full of critics and always will be. But in the end it is we who must determine the paths we take and who we walk them with. No one can direct that unless we give them permission. And if we do then we must live with the regrets along the way. If you love someone and the age difference causes your family and/or friends to react negatively, then you must decide the outcome. You must ask yourself if losing the love of your life is worth the sacrifice of pleasing others rather than your own happiness. You must decide if that person is more important to you than anyone else. And then you must form a plan to counter all the negative influence that can cause the two of you to second guess what you know to be fact.
As I continue to say over and over again...age difference has nothing to do with two people who love each other. Just ask the couples involved. It's the other person's problem. No one can decide your happiness for you. So why spend time worrying about what others think? Just get on with your life and enjoy the wonderful years together. Go To Page: 1 2
