An Obsession with Lumumba

"Where is the body? They cannot produce a body." Lumumba was feared by the "authorities", like Jesus, and betrayed by one of his own followers, one he kept closest to himself, Joseph Mobutu. But will the death of men like Lumumba and Steve Biko, or women like Ruth First (who was killed by the South African government for her crusades against apartheid)-will their spilled blood bring regeneration and renewal to the continent?

But now I am speaking like a poet. Perhaps that is what we need.
