Juneteenth was released mid-June and has recieved rave reviews by Toni Morrison, who deems it as a "majestic narrative concept." Many critics worried if it would pan out to be simply a concept. It is rumored that Morgan Freeman as having an interest a starring role of the screen adaptation in collaberation with Quincy Jones and David Marnet.
