By using birding as a learning tool, your child will learn the essentials about birds. But, it is then time to get books to delve further into the study of birds. As a homeschooling parent, recognize that learning takes place all day and in most everything we do. Teach your child to observe. It will give him a foot up when it comes time to read about what he's just experienced.
