Rating:

Pro:

  • I.G.S. (Impact Guidance System) offers stability on uneven terrain
  • Uphill/downhill lugs offer excellent traction--especially on loose dirt
  • Lacing system allows for a secure fit

    Con:

  • Can be a bit stiff for some runners
  • High cut opening can rub against your ankle bone
  • Not much toe space

The Bottom Line: A rough and rugged trail running shoe that offers great support and traction. Plus, the lacing system that runs throughout the shoe looks cool.

    Product Description:

  • Breathable mesh
  • Reflective material for increased visibility at night
  • Gel Cushioning Systems
  • SpEva midsole material absorbs shock
  • Trusstic System provides midfoot structural integrity
  • AHAR Heel Plug offers durability
  • Dynamic Terrain Cradle helps stabilize foot

Review: This shoe has lots of fancy features for the trail runner--including the Gel Cushioning System and the lacing system. As far as performance goes, I felt that it offered stability and shock absorption. I felt confident running on loose terrain with the mega-sole traction--think 4x4 tires! The shoe did feel a bit stiff and back end of the shoe was a bit too high cut for my comfort level. But all-in-all an excellent running shoe.
