S is for Shaped Ski Secrets


Did Irene come home from the demo with a new pair of skis? Truthfully, no. She did like the first pair she tried. They were all-terrain skis, and they did well in the powder that we were lucky to have that day. The second pair were true slalom skis with a very narrow waist, and they were much more work, and much harder to relax and ski on. We wouldn't have purchased either pair, and that is worth knowing. Dee, Irene's Bromley instructor, promised her that she would appreciate the shaped skis more the next time she put on her straight skis! That wasn't the case, but she is ready to try some other pairs this year - and so am I.
