F is for Fall Foliage

The Adirondacks offer some wonderful fall colors. I think it's because the temperature swings in Sept. and Oct. are quite extreme. The night time temps range from lows of 30 in September to lows of 16 in October while the high temps range from 90 in September to 75 in October. This produces an average swing in these months of 60 degrees. WOW!

It's no wonder we start using our fireplace the first day of fall!

The best way to enjoy the colors of the fall foliage in the North Country is to get out there and go somewhere!

You can take a drive, go on a scenic train ride on the Upper Hudson River Railroad , or on the Adirondack Railroad, take a cruise on one of the many lakes, take your bike, or go on a hike.

The main thing is to get out side and enjoy the natural beauty of the mountains this time of year! And... don't forget your camera. Enjoy!
