C is for Cooking in the Adirondacks

The book is complete with some cooking basics, and glossaries of cooking terms, cheeses, fruits, and vegetables. There is also a list of food sources that puts some unusual ingredients at your fingertips. And it has some amazing photographs of many of the dishes, so you can see what they will look like (and imagine what they will taste like) when completed.

All in all, it is a comprehensive book that will make cooking Adirondack style something that anyone can do.

Adirondack Cuisine has also been developed into a TV show by the Mountain Lakes PBS. The show is taped on location at the Adirondack Landmark Saranac Hotel, where the host Derek Muirden, takes viewers on tours of the Adirondack restaurants, inns and B&B's, while Chef Armand prepares a dish made famous by each of the restaurants. Watch for it on your local PBS station.

And happy cooking in the Adirondacks, or wherever you happen to be!!
